Introduction
My Weebly page is going to be on stereotypes. It will be on the different stereotypes developed against people during the time of the Gilded Age. I expect to learn the deeper meanings to why they advertise certain things to certain races and why they classify certain races in certain ways.
The four stereotypes I will be looking into are the Irish stereotypes, the Jezebel stereotype, the Brute stereotype, and the different stereotypes against women in the Gilded Age.
I will also be connecting the topic of stereotypes to the book The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. There were many stereotypes against all different classes and races through out the book that can connect to the harsh stereotypes of all different races and genders during the time of the Gilded Age.
